What benefits does the SignVideo service bring to the deaf BSL community?

Easy access to an interpreter wherever you are whatever you’re doing. My favourite examples are:

The guy who answered his door to find a police officer there. He brought the policeman in, called the SignVideo interpreter, and within two minutes had sorted everything out.

Or the decorator who uses his mobile so that he can show the interpreter the work he is proposing to do so the interpreter understands.

And the elderly woman who uses SignVideo to sort out her deliveries.

In other words, all of them ordinary things.

Why did you decide to become a video BSL interpreter?

I didn’t! I grew up interpreting with my Mum, and I just never decided to stop.
