Interpreter Standards & Regulation

SignVideo only use highly skilled and experienced sign language interpreters to ensure the best possible service is provided to all our clients. All interpreters that work for the Sign Video are registered with the Independent Registration Panel (IRP) and meet the following criteria:

• The agreed video interpreting standards for BSL/English interpreters.
• The required interpreter training qualifications.
• Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) check.
• Adhere to the IRP professional Code of conduct.
• Have Professional Indemnity Insurance (PII).

SignVideo specialist services

• International sign language interpreting for those who have come to the UK and do not know British Sign Language (BSL).
• Deaf interpreters. If a Deaf client is not understood by our sign language interpreters on call, we can bring in a deaf interpreter.  The deaf Interpreter can fine tune into the deaf client’s (idiosyncratic) communication and relay it to the BSL-English interpreter for voiceover.
