To use the SignVideo call centre you need to have compatible technology.
You will need to have one of these connections:
- Fast broadband internet connection for an IP videophone or videoconferencing unit. (high quality home broadband connection, office LAN or a WAN system)
- ISDN6 connection
- HSPA (post 3g) mobile network connection
You will need to have one of the following
- Broadband videophone
- Corporate videoconferencing unit
- Webcam with videoconferencing software
- ISDN6 videophone
- HSDPA enabled (post 3G) mobile videophone

Cost: What help is available?
- Public Sector Service Providers: SignVideo is able to provide equipment to any public sector organisations thanks to funding received from the Department of Community and Local Government, for the duration of the service itself.
- Deaf People at Home: Good news! Some councils have agreed to offer deaf people the choice between a minicom or a videophone. If you choose the videophone make sure you have a good quality home broadband connection.
- Deaf People at Work: If you are working, you may be aware of the access to work programme. It is now possible to use video-conferencing and a service level agreement with SignVideo Interpreting services to meet your work interpreting needs, fast and hassle free.
