City Lit To Trial SignVideo To Improve Student Access

We are excited to announce that CityLit will be trialling SignVideo from now until the 29th April, to ensure British Sign Language (BSL) access to their student centre, enrolment and reception desk, through the day and on evenings and weekends. This means Deaf BSL users can get in touch with CityLit in BSL, before and after Deaf Day 2018 if they have any enquiries. The CityLit teams are really looking forward to trialling SignVideo to improve the student’s experience as well as the staff experience of working with Deaf students.

Deaf BSL users can get in touch with CityLit by clicking here.

Don’t forget to put Deaf Day in the diary….

We are very excited to be sponsoring City Lit Deaf Day 2018!

For 22 years Deaf Day has attracted thousands of deaf, hard-of-hearing and hearing people of every age from across the UK. People come to socialise, exchange information and celebrate deaf issues.

Come and visit SignVideo there, plus a range of exhibition stands with other organisations and groups demonstrating products and services. Enjoy free entertainment, workshops and BSL interpreted taster courses throughout the day. There is a crèche available.

Admission is free – all welcome! For more information please visit the Deaf Day website.
